An input from a Nigerian intelligence agency has the Mumbai and Delhi police fearing a major terrorist attack.

The alert sounded that seven Daesh terrorists trained by IS in Northern Nigeria have planned a major attack on Mumbai and Delhi. Two terrorists are already present in Pakistan. These terrorists are planning to sneak into India from Pakistan through the coastal route in the guise of local fishermen.

According to the message received, in Mumbai, apart from the defence installations, the Royal Asiatic Society and the Royal Bombay Yacht club are possible targets.

In the national capital the targets are crowded markets, shopping malls and Bikaner house, a British-era mansion situated in the heart of the national capital, which houses the art and cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

In an another case of terror intel, the Director General of RPF received an input stating that approximately 100 terrorists have entered Mumbai and have planned to attack the Churchgate, Bandra and Kurla railway stations.

All RPF inspectors have been asked to increase the patrolling and monitor the railway station CCTVs. Quick Response Reams along with dog squads have been deputed at sensitive prone locations.
