Mumbai’s suburban train services have been affected owing to a overhead equipment (OHE) problem at Dadar station. The overhead wiring allegedly snapped because of the heavy rainfall in the morning.

Services on Western line towards Churchgate have been hit and no trains are currently plying from Borivali to Churchgate.

The problem was detected around 11 am today, and railway officials are currently working on restoring power.

Services are expected to return to normalcy by 12:30 to 12:45 pm.

Update (12.40 pm): The services plying towards Churchgate on the western line have been resumed. It has also been clarified that the disruption in services was caused after a battery box at Mahim Elec Sub station was stolen. The box was restored by authorities around 12.20 pm. Services were resumed 15 minutes after the battery box was restored.
