Legendary action-star Jackie Chan arrived in Mumbai on Monday amid a lot of fanfare. The actor will be seen promoting his upcoming multilingual action-adventure comedy film ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ in the upcoming episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.

The comedian-actor Kapil Sharma, who hosts the show on Sony Entertainment Television, took to Twitter on Monday to announce the news. “Oh my god. Jackie Chan on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’,” Kapil tweeted.

This will be Chan’s first appearance on the show. In the past, other international personalities like Brett Lee, Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram have also featured on it.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev had featured on the show last week, and both Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will appear on it this weekend promote their upcoming film ‘Raees’.

‘Kung Fu Yoga’ is part of the three-film agreement signed between India and China during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to India. The martial arts expert will essay the role of an archeologist in the film.

The action-adventure comedy film also stars actress Disha Patani, Sonu Sood and Amyra Dastur. Even the Hindi film stars have reportedly performed some adrenalin-pumping action sequences in the movie.

Directed by Stanley Tong, ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ has been shot in Dubai, Iceland, Beijing and India. It is presented and distributed in India by Shakti Sagar Productions in association with Laurence Paul, and is set to release on February 3.

It is speculated that Chan will also meet Sood’s ‘Dabangg’ co-star Salman Khan during his Mumbai visit.

Salman had earlier thanked the award winning actor for casting Sood, following which Chan had promised to meet him when he arrived in Mumbai.

“Namaste, Salman. I am going to see you in India with my brother (pointing at Sood),” Chan had said in an Instagram video.
