After much delay, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and High Education (MSBSHSE) is set to announce the results of the Class X (SSC) results on its website mahresult.nic.in at 1 pm tomorrow, June 13.

Students can expect minor delays while checking the results online.

The board had come under a lot of firing recently over confusion pertaining to the result date and unexpected delays. Most recently, the results were believed to be declared on June 10. However, the board later clarified that the date had not been decided.

The results were reportedly pushed back by a few days due to the delay in communicating the decision about the inclusion of marks for extracurricular activities in the final result itself.

A total of 17,66,098 candidates, including 9,89,908 were boys and 7,76,190 girls, appeared for the SSC 2017 board exams held from March 7 to March 29 this year. The exams were held at 4,728 centres across the state.

Compared to 2016, 2.23 percent more students appeared for the exam this year. A total of 17,27,496 students had appeared last year, of which 89.56 percent had passed.

The SSC 2017 results can be accessed from the following websites: mahresult.nic.in, result.mkcl.org, mh-ssc.ac.in and msbshse.ac.in.

Passing percentage:

In order to clear the SSC exams, students need to secure a minimum of 35 percent of the total score, which includes internal assessment and marks secured in viva or practicals.

In addition, students will also have to score at least 20 percent marks in the theory papers.

Example: If an exam is out of 100 marks, of which 80 are allocated for theory and the remaining 20 for internal assessment, a student will have to secure a minimum of 16 marks in the theory paper and a total of 35 marks in the theory and internal combined.
