65,000 Mumbaikars to gather at  Mahalaxmi to support India in UN

As the world’s largest mock UN conference to be held in city on April 10, around 65,000 Mumbaikars, under the banner of Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN), will participate in a peace march from NSCI to Mahalaxmi Racecourse to garner support for India getting a permanent seat in the UN Security Council (UNSC).

The march will take place after 10,000 students participate in the world’s largest model UN conference, organised by IIMUN at Sardar Vallabhai Patel stadium.

Those expected to attend the event include minister of state with independent charge for power, coal, and new and renewable energy Piyush Goel and railway minister Suresh Prabhu.

Invitations for the march have also been sent out to external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, road transport and highways and shipping minister Nitin Gadkari, Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and several other eminent personalities.
