On Saturday, a case of cheating was registered against the ‘Sultan’ team including actors Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma, Director Ali Abbas and Yash Raj Films at a district court of Muzaffarpur in Bihar.

According to India Today, the case was filed by Sabeer Ansari, who has claimed that the entire film from start to end was based on his life.

In his petition, Ansari has said that Salman Khan approached him before the film went on floors and promised to pay him Rs 20 crore for his story. However, he was later informed that the film had been shelved.

But, when the film released on July 6, Ansari was shocked to see that the makers had based it on his life without crediting him in any way. Feeling cheated, he decided to take legal action against the makers. The hearing is scheduled for July 12.

Sultan, which released in theaters this Wednesday, has amassed a massive collection at the box-office in the first three days itself. The film collected Rs 73.7 crore in the first two days alone and, while the official collection for the 3rd day isn’t in yet, trade analysts are certain that it will cross Rs 100 crore in its first three days.

In addition, the film has garnered positive reviews from both critics and audiences. With its strong word-of-mouth publicity and weekend collection to look forward to, ‘Sultan’ is likely to rake in over Rs 150 crore by Sunday.
