Arijit Singh & Salman Khan

Almost two months after Arijit Singh publicly apologized to superstar Salman Khan, it seems the actor has accepted the singer’s apology and is ready to work with him again.

It all started when the singer unintentionally offended Bollywood’s Bhaijaan during an award show. The singer tried apologizing to the actor immediately after the show, but Salman gave him a cold shoulder. “When he asked me if I had fallen asleep, it slipped out of my mouth from nervousness and embarrassment. The same night I texted him a ‘sorry’ along with a long apology note. He replied in the morning with a rebuke and advised me on how to behave,” he singer was quoted saying.

Later, Arijit recorded the song ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ for Salman’s last release ‘Sultan’. But, rumour mills were abuzz that his version of the song was dropped from the final soundtrack at the actor’s behest. The track was then re-recorded by famous Sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

That’s when the ‘Aashiqui 2’ singer took to Facebook and rendered a public apology to the actor, albeit, to no avail. The award-winning singer later said that he was hurt, but remained hopeful of making things right with the actor.

Now, it seems that the singer’s wait is finally over as multiple reports confirm that Arjit is all set to sing a solo song for Salman’s upcoming film ‘Tubelight’.

The ‘Tum Hi Ho’ singer confirmed the development while talking to a leading daily, “Yes I am singing for Tubelight. It was recently reported that I said I will never sing for Salman. Who am I to make such arrogant and unwarranted remarks? As far as I am concerned, I am and have always been a Salman Khan fan.”

The makers are keeping additional details regarding the track under wraps at the moment.

Helmed by Kabir Khan, ‘Tubelight’ is set to release during Eid 2017.
