It’s time to put the speculations about Coldplay’s Mumbai vist to rest. The Brit band is indeed coming to the maximum city to perform in November.

Speculations around the band’s performance in Mumbai have been rife ever since Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin played impromptu set in Delhi when he visited India as a part of the Global Citizen delegate. Later, in September 2015, the band even shot for the video for their track ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ in Mumbai.

Now a source close to the development has told a leading tabloid, “Yes Coldplay is set to perform in Mumbai on November 19 at the MMRDA and the show is being put together by the Global Citizen Festival run by Chris Martin.”

The tickets for the event are expected to be available on BookMyShow from September 12, with prices starting from Rs 25,000 and going as high as Rs 5 lakh.

If you’re wondering about the steep prices, it’s because the event is a charitable one, with a majority of the proceeds going towards the upliftment of the poor.

Apart from Coldplay, American rapper Jay Z is also rumoured to perform at the concert. Renowned personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, A.R Rahman are also expected to grace the event, along with national and international dignitaries.

While earlier reports had indicated that Bollywood singer Arijit Singh was also scheduled to perform, it is not clear if the singer still
onboard.

Interestingly, Google India had tweeted about the concert back in August, but mysteriously deleted the post later.
