Superstar Salman Khan’s latest release, Tiger Zinda Hai, crossed a major milestone this weekend by crossing Rs 500 crore in total box-office collection, making it the most commercially successful Bollywood film of 2017.

According to Forbes, the Ali Abbas Zafar-helmed action thriller has raked in Rs 390 crore at the domestic box-office, comfortably beating Golmaal Again and Judwaa 2, and surpassed Rs 115 crore globally.

This is Salman’s third film to cross the 500 crore mark after Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 626 crore) and Sultan (Rs 589 crore). Meanwhile, with films like Dangal, PK and Dhoom 3, only Aamir Khan boasts of more commercially successful films than Salman.

Apart from the Bollywood biggies, Prabhas is the only other actor with two films in the Rs 500 crore club. Incidentally, Prabhas’ Bahubali 2: The Conclusion is still the highest earning Hindi film of 2017 as it’s dubbed version alone earned well over Rs 500 crore.
