Minor fire breaks out at Maker Bhavan 2 building in Marine Lines

A minor fire broke out at a Maker Bhavan 2, a commercial building in Mumbai’s Marine Lines, on Tuesday evening.
Details about the fire:
Location: According to preliminary information, the fire broke out in the server room on the first floor of Maker Bhavan 2 building located on Vitthaldas Thackersey Marg at New Marine Lines in Mumbai’s Marine Lines area. The building is one of the most premium commercial complex in the city.
Time: The mishap took place around 3:15 pm today, and the fire department was alerted immediately after.
Severity: Fire officials reached the spot with three fire engines and water rankers to douse the flames. The building was also evacuated following the blaze.
Cause of fire: The exact cause of fire is not yet known as a confirmation from the fire department is awaited.
Casualties & damage: No casualties were reported in the incident. A portion of the server room, however, has been gutted.
Current status: The fire has been doused as of publishing this report and cooling operations are underway.
The incident comes four days after a similar blaze gutted at least three galas on Bhulabhai Desai Road opposite Breach Candy Hospital. The fire was brought under control with the aid of five fire tenders and did not result in any casualties.
