Rumours about actor-director Arbaaz Khan and wife Malaika Arora’s divorce have been doing rounds since last year.
A few months back, Arbaaz had admitted that the couple was going through a rough patch and were living separately. Later, at an event in May, even Malaika requested the organizers to announce her name as ‘Malaika Arora’ instead of ‘Malaika Arora Khan’, further adding to the speculation.
However, when the couple was recently spotted together in the city for dinner, the rumours about their imminent divorce were put to rest. Needless to say, fans were ecstatic with the development and the couple’s possible reconciliation.
But, during a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Arbaaz put the speculations to rest and finally confessed that the couple had indeed separated. He was quoted saying, “At this point of time we are not together, we are separated, and that’s about it.”
Arbaaz, who made his directorial debut with Dabbangg 2, also told the daily that work on the third installment is currently underway, but it is not likely to release before end of next year.
“If you want to keep a franchise going, you just can’t keep coming every two years, you have to deliver too. Even the Munnabhais and Golmaals arrive after a gap, every franchise needs breathing space. Someone’s role increases, someone else’s reduces, you can’t repeat stuff,” he added.
The ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’ actor also successfully dodged questions about Salman’s marriage to alleged girlfriend Iulia Vantur, claiming that ‘he’ll get married when he has to’.Back to latest news
