BEST bus allegedly vandalised in Chembur by Dalit protestors
A BEST bus was vandalised in Chembur
Multiple vehicles, including a BEST bus, were damaged in Mumbai’s Chembur area during the protest staged by the Dalit community earlier today.
According to eyewitnesses, scores of protestors gathered near Chembur naka to stage a raasta roko today afternoon. A faction of the protestors tried to stop cars that were trying to go around them and hit them with sticks and stones.
A BEST bus was also damaged in the process. Police officials reached the spot and dispersed the crowd in no time. However, no arrests were made.
The persons responsible for damaging the bus are yet to be identified.
