Protesters block road near IIT-Powai, traffic movement on JVLR affected

Dalit protestors continued their protest on Tuesday afternoon in Powai, affecting traffic movement in the area.
Hundreds of protesters blocked the road opposite IIT-Powai, affecting the south-bound traffic on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) in the afternoon. The traffic towards Andheri, however, is flowing smoothly.
Commuters traveling on the route are advised to take an alternate route if possible.
Apart from Powai, major traffic disruptions were reported at Ramadai Highway in Ghatkopar and Amar Mahal junction near Chembur earlier today.
