Central Railway services affected due to heavy rains
Due to heavy overnight rains, Mankhurd, Vidyavihar, Thane, Vikhroli, Bhandup and few other Central Railways stations have got water-logged. As a result, up and down services on the Central line were suspended early morning on Tuesday.
In order to tackle the morning rush, Central Railways directed the BEST to ply few extra buses in the city.
As of 9.30 am, few services on the Central line have resumed, but they are still running behind schedule. Commuters can expect an average delay of around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
The services are expected to return to normalcy by afternoon.
