Fake pictures of Rani Mukerji’s baby going viral
On Monday, the first pictures of Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra’s daughter Adira allegedly surfaced on the image sharing platform Instagram. The pictures have gone viral since then.
The picture captioned, “My biggest treasure #AdiraMommyLovesyou (meet my princess),” was shared by an Instagram account user ‘iamranimukerji’, supposedly belonging to the actress.
However, while the account has over 1.2 lakh followers, it isn’t a ‘verified’ account, giving rise to speculation about the image’s authenticity. Moreover, since the couple leads an extremely private life and seldom make public appearances together, the sudden reveal managed to raise some eyebrows.
But, within hours of the images surfacing online, the Bollywood actress’ representative issued a statement claiming that ‘Rani Mukerji is not on any social media platform’.
A statement issued from the actress’ side stated that there are many fake accounts that keep cropping up in the name of the ‘Mardaani’ actress.
“This is to inform you that Rani Mukerji is not on any social media platform and has never been. There are several fake accounts that keep cropping up. We would like to request you to not pay any heed to them or the content they put up as it is all fake,” Rani’s spokesperson said in a statement.
Rani and Aditya, who had been in a relationship for years, entered wedlock in April 2014 in Italy. The couple welcomed their first daughter in December 2015.
