MLA who assaulted Mantralaya official sent to judicial custody

Achalpur-based independent MLA Bachchu Kadu had made headline after allegedly slapping Maharashtra Government’s Deputy Secretary Bhausaheb Gavit at Mantralaya on March 29. Post Kadu’s assault, government employees at Mantralaya went on a flash strike to condemn the act and demanded action against Kadu.

The MLA was arrested by Mumbai police yesterday and was produced in court today morning. The court has directed to send him to Judicial Custody till April 8. His lawyer currently is moving bail application.
