God-sent angel gives new life to a newborn found in a Naigaon nullah
In an incident that will renew your faith in humanity and God, a man rescued a newborn, who was left to die in the nullah by the one who gave birth to the child, and gifted him a new life.
The incident happened in Naigaon yesterday when Nimesh Bhansali, a businessman from Borivali, was on his way for some work when he saw a large crowd peering into a nullah.
Out of curiosity, he got down from his car to see what was happening and was dazed to see a newborn lying in the nullah, with ants and mud all over his face and body.
Unlike most of the people who were busy clicking pictures and recording videos of the baby, who probably was about to die, Bhansali jumped into the nullah, picked him up and washed the mud and ants off his body before rushing him to nearby hospital.
He rushed the baby to Oscar Hospital and narrated the entire incident to the staff members, who immediately took him to the doctor and started the treatment instantly.
The baby was treated for severe dehydration and ant bites, and is being put on Lactogen baby formula and oral antibiotics.
A father of two boys, Bhansali has named the baby ‘Ansh’ and is willing to adopt him if nobody comes forward to claim the child.
Speaking to a city tabloid, he said, “Today, I feel like I’m on top of the world. I saved a life. Seeing him safe, drinking milk and wearing the clothes I bought for him — nothing has ever given me as much satisfaction as this.”
Bhansali added, “I think it was providence — I am Jain and I found this baby on Mahavir Jayanti.”
