Hrithik avoids Salman at IIFA over a 6 year old comment
Actor Hrithik Roshan reportedly gave the IIFA 2016 press conference a miss to avoid running into Salman Khan despite being present at the venue.
The IIFA 2016 press conference was a star-studded affair with the who’s who of B-Town, including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Anil Kapoor, in attendance.
But Hrithik, who was at the venue, chose not to head over to the stage with his colleagues over his alleged cold-war with actor Salman Khan. A source even revealed to a leading entertainment portal that the two haven’t met ‘socially’ even once since they arrived at Madrid, Spain for the awards gala.
Industry sources claim that the Hrithik-Salman cold war is not news anymore and almost everyone associated with them is aware of the fact that the two are not on good terms.
The friends turned foes after the ‘Dabanng’ actor made a snide remark about Hrithik’s 2010 release ‘Guzaarish’. While talking about the film, which turned out to be a dud at the box-office, Salman was quoted saying, “Koi kutta bhi nahin gaya”.
In retaliation, Hrithik had responded by saying, “It’s not heroic to laugh or make fun of a filmmaker just because his box-office collections are not up there with yours.”
Although there were reports about the two superstars finally making peace, Hrithik put an end to speculation when he chose to give Salman’s show Bigg Boss a miss during Krrish 3 promotions.
Since then, the two actors have never really shared space, on or off screen.
