Katrina, Siddharth unveil ‘Kala Chashma’, the party anthem of 2016

The makers of Baar Baar Dekho just gave us ‘Kala Chashma’. A song you might have heard before, but definitely not like this. And surely not picturized on the film’s lead pair – Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra.
Within hours of its release, the song has already crossed half a million views on YouTube and counting.
The song is a ‘retuned’ version of the 2005 pop hit and is being pegged as the ‘wedding song of the year’. So expect to hear it at the next wedding you attend, where there will probably a dance performance on it as well.
Katrina is looking as sizzling as one would expect her to, with her dance moves perfectly complementing her good looks. As for Siddharth, he’s surely come a long way since his ‘Student of the year’ days. Apart from the lead pair, Ram Kapoor and Rajit Kapur are also seen shaking a leg.
The song ‘Kala Chashma’ has been composed and recreated by Badshah, with Amar Arshi and Neha Kakkar providing the vocals. There’s also a Badshah rap to spice things up a little.
Prior to the song’s release, the film’s producer Karan Johar had said, “Kala chashma 2.0 is a party starter and has been the heartbeat of the Punjabi music scene for over a decade. Our revamped and rejuvenated version has enhanced the energy to an altogether different level.”
Directed by Nitya Mehra, the film chronicles the journey of life from puberty to old age. It is slated for a September 9 release.
