Salman’s sister Arpita Khan’s Bandra apartment robbed, maid detained

Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s Bandra apartment was robbed of cash and valuables worth Rs 3.25 lakh while she was vacationing with her husband last weekend.

Reportedly, Arpita and her husband Aayush Sharma realized about the theft after they returned from a vacation on August 21 (Sunday). Following which, they filed a complaint with Khar police station.

The couple, residents of Pacific Heights on Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra West, were robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh cash, 10 gm gold coin and some designer clothes.

According to an official with Khar police station, the prime suspect is their maid Aafsa Khan, who did not turn up to work on Saturday. They also believe that the theft took place a few days before Sunday.

Khar police registered a case under Section 381 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of employer) of the Indian Penal Code and started investigating by questioning the domestic help of neighbouring flats.

The investigation eventually helped police trace the 35-year-old to her Nalasopara residence, from where she was nabbed. Khan has been detained on suspicion and being questioned at the moment.

Khan was not registered with the police despite working as a domestic help at the couple’s home for over a year.
