SRK to play a dwarf in my next, confirms Tanu Weds Manu director

1. Producer-Director-Writer Aanand L Rai has tasted both critical and commercial success with movies like Tanu Weds Manu, Raanjhanaa and the Tanu Weds Manu sequel.

2. Earlier, there were speculations around how SRK was set to play another unconventional role, after his recently released ‘Fan’, in Rai’s next. Now, the filmmaker has confirmed the he has indeed roped in the Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan for his next, still untitled, project.

3. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Rai also confirmed that SRK will play a three-feet-one-inch tall dwarf in the film. But, when probed about the film’s plot, Rai confirmed little other than saying that it was a ‘family entertainer with lots of romance’.

4. When questioned about working with SRK for the first time, Rai told Mirror, “Meeting the man makes you believe that nothing can beat experience! He has seen life not just as an actor but also as a person. He is large-hearted, intelligent and has a great understanding of human beings. I am in love with him.”

5. Before his film with SRK goes on floors, the filmmaker is producing what he calls ‘an experimental film on a delicate subject’ titled Happy Bhaag Jayegi, featuring Abhay Deol, Diana Penty and Ali Fazal.
