Sunny Leone to star in a ‘bare all’ biopic about her life’s journey
After starring in a documentary about her film journey, actress Sunny Leone is now set to star in a biopic based on her own life.
Abhishek Sharma, who had previously directed the critically acclaimed film ‘Tere Bin Laden’, will be helming the project, with Sunny and her husband Daniel Weber as producers.
Earlier, Sunny’s life was documented on film by Canadian photojournalist Dilip Mehta. The documentary, titled ‘Mostly Sunny Partly Cloudy’, canvassed the actress’ journey from a regular Sikh girl to a world renowned star.
The documentary, which also stars Weber, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2016. It is also set for a worldwide release in the near future.
But unlike the documentary, Sunny’s biopic will be a far more ‘entertaining’ offering, chronicling her life’s journey. The bare-all film will also give fans an insight into aspects of Sunny’s personal, which the actress has seldom shared publicly.
The makers are keeping the details of the project under wraps as there are few loose ends, but fans can expect to hear more about the biopic in the coming weeks once the details are ironed out.
Sunny, who first gained recognition for starring in adult films, forayed into Bollywood in 2012 with Pooja Bhatt’s ‘Jism 2’. Since then, the actress has shifted her base to India and starred in a number of TV shows and Bollywood films.
