After working together in last year’s critically acclaimed film ‘Baby’, actress Taapsee Pannu and Neeraj Pandey are set to collaborate again for the latter’s upcoming production titled ‘Meera’.

Directed by Shivam Nair, the story of the film revolves around Meera, the character essayed by Taapsee in ‘Baby’, and it reveals the backstory of how she becomes a special agent. Taapsee will have to undergo intense training for her role as the film is meant to have several stunts and will begin shooting here from end of September.

Taapsee said in a statement: “It’s almost too good to believe that I’m getting to play the title role in my career so early. I was told about this film almost a year back, but I never believed it. Now finally it’s happening and I am ready to get trained in some intensive martial art form for the action thriller.”

The film will also star Akshay Kumar and Manoj Bajpayee in pivotal roles.

Actress Taapsee Pannu says she broke down while shooting for her upcoming film Pink because of its heart-wrenching subject. The emotional thriller set in the nation’s capital also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan. “It (‘Pink’) was easiest because I belong to this place (Delhi) and difficult because it (subject) was heart-wrenching,” Taapsee said at the trailer launch of ‘Pink’.

“The two months that I was shooting for the film I was not doing anything else except this movie. I had a breakdown on the sets as well. I started feeling for my character. It was extremely impactful. It did affect me personally and was very challenging,” she said.

The 29-year-old actress feels Pink, which is produced by Shoojit Sircar, will prove to be a landmark in her career. “I did ‘Baby’ and now ‘Pink’… That perception (of cute and bubbly) changed. I don’t think people today look at me as cute and bubbly Taapsee. It will be a landmark film in my career.”
