Teaser of Ranbir-Aishwarya starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ out

On Tuesday morning, the makers unveiled the teaser of Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
The film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan, is set for a Diwali release on October 28. The film is written and helmed by Karan Johar.
The one and a half minute clip is the teaser for the film along with a that of it’s music. It depicts Ranbir with both Anushka and Aishwarya at different points, hinting at a complex love triangle between the trio. Fawad also makes a brief appearance.
Ranbir and Anushka have been paired in two films prior to this. But, by pairing Aishwarya with Ranbir, Johar has managed to pull off an excellent and never before seen casting.
The Kapoor scion, who is the pivotal character of the narration ends the video saying, “Ektarfa pyar ki taaqat hi kuch aur hai. Auro ki tarah ye do logon me batata nahi. Sirf mera haq hai ispe.”
The film, shot in Delhi, New York, London and Paris, deals with emotional relationships and heartbreaks.
The film’s music is composed by Pritam. The title track, which plays during the teaser, was sung by Arijit Singh. Amitabh Bhattacharya has provided the lyrics for the title track.
‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ will compete the Ajay Devgn’s maiden directorial ‘Shivaay’, which is also set for a Diwali release. While both films belong to completely different genres, trade analysts predict that they will eat into each other’s first weekend business irrespective of whichever one comes out on top in the long run.
The soul stirring teaser, within hours of its release, has garnered a very positive response on social media.
