Video: Mika Singh’s nasty remark on her surname leaves Diana Penty fuming

Singer Mika Singh isn’t exactly a stranger to controversies. From slapping a doctor to being accused of molestation by a model, the singer has seen it all.
But no one would have imagined that the singer would make fun of the star cast at the promotional event of the upcoming film ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ at Hard Rock Cafe.
At the musical promotional event of the film, where the entire cast, producer and director were present, the singer made a rather filthy remark on Diana Penty’s surname.
While on stage, the singer was talking about how he often got confused when he had to refer to Diana and ended the sentence by saying, “Diana Panty, Mika Kachha”.
The singer may have made fun of the actress’ surname unintentionally, but it did not go down well with most, who thought it was definitely uncalled for and in bad taste. Diana was visibly fuming.
But, despite the public shaming, the ‘Cocktail’ actress chose to maintain a dignified silence while she was on stage. However, when a leading entertainment portal contacted a close friend of the actress to ask if Diana minded the joke, the answer was a resounding yes. The friend confirmed that the actress was furious with the ‘Gandi Baat’ singer.
Mika has since then been slammed on social media for ‘misusing his freedom of speech’ and disrespecting a fellow professional from the film fraternity.
Prior to this, the ‘Aaj Ki Party Mere Taraf Se’ singer had made headlines after a model had filed a molestation complaint against him.
Helmed by Mudassar Azia and produced by Krishika Lulla, ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ stars Abhay Deol, Diana Penty, Jimmy Shergill, Ali Faizal and Momal Sheikh and is set to release on August 19.
