2 men die in 2 separate accidents around the same spot near Vikhroli

A middle-aged man was mowed down by an unknown vehicle around 1.30 pm near Jogeshwari Link Road going towards Powai on Wednesday. Vikhroli police, which is investigating the case, and is trying to trace the car that hit the man with the help of a CCTV footage.

In the second incident, a 35-year-old was run over by a tempo driven by a learner. The incident took place around 9.30 pm near the same spot. The victim, identified as Satish Pandey, was crossing the when he was mowed down by the tempo driver who took a hasty turn. He was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital where doctors said he should be shifted to Sion Hospital. He was declared dead before admission in Sion Hospital.

According to the police, the driver, Tellapa Madar (36) fled from the place after the incident but was arrested him 6.30 am yesterday.
