Fire breaks out at Gujral House building on CST Road in Santacruz

A major fire broke out at a commercial building in Mumbai’s Santacruz area on Thursday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, the fire broke out at Gujral House building located on CST Road, next to Axis Bank and opposite Central Plaza, in Kalina, Santacruz East.
The incident took place around 11:50 am and the fire department was alerted shortly after. Four fire engines were subsequently pressed into service to douse the flames.
The fire fighting operation is currently underway. The building, meanwhile, has been evacuated.
Police officials are also on the spot.
No casualties have been reported till now and cause of fire remains unknown as of publishing this report. Further details are awaited.
