Former Bigg Boss star Ajaz Khan arrested from Navi Mumbai hotel for drug possession

Actor Ajaz Khan, who became a household name after featuring in Bigg Boss, was arrested by Anti-Narcotics Cell from Belapur in Navi Mumbai on Monday night for possession of a banned narcotics substance.
According to ANI, the actor was arrested from a hotel in Belapur after ANC officials found 8 ecstasy tablets in his possession. He will be produced in court today.
“Actor Ajaz Khan arrested from a hotel in Belapur by Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Mumbai police last night, in possession of banned narcotic substance (8 ecstasy tablets); he will be produced before a court today. #Maharashtra,” news agency ANI tweeted.
The cops were reportedly tipped off about the drug use, following which they raided the hotel and found the actor in an intoxicated state. He was subsequently taken to the police station and placed under arrest.
The actor is yet to make a public statement regarding the possession charge or his arrest.
The 36-year-old has often courted controversy for his unabashed comments. In 2016, he was arrested for allegedly sending lewd messages and objectionable photos to a hairstylist. He was later released on bail.
Ajaz has done small roles in several films but rose to fame after appearing in season 7 of reality show Bigg Boss.
