Video: Part of ceiling at Raghuleela Mall in Vashi collapses
A part of the ceiling at Raghuleela Mall in Vashi collapsed on Tuesday afternoon. The mall, located at Sector 30 opposite Vashi Railway Station in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, is frequented by locals.
According to preliminary information, the entire POP (Plaster of Paris) false ceiling of the third floor collapsed and fell on the ground, following which the entire mall was closed down.
No one has been reported injured as of publishing this report. Meanwhile, officials from the local police and fire department are on the spot.
The cause of collapse is currently not known and will be determined after an audit by civic authorities.
The four-storeyed mall covers an area of approximately 375,000 sq ft and was developed by Raghuleela Properties Pvt.Ltd.
