4 injured after speeding vehicle rams into barrier near Lala Lajpat Rai College, Haji Ali
At least four people were injured after a driver lost control of his speeding vehicle and rammed into a steel barrier near Lala Lajpat Rai College at Haji Ali during the wee hours of Sunday.
According to Sub-Inspector Prakash Kamble of Worli Police Station, the tourist vehicle had three passengers and was heading towards Haji Ali from Lotus Junction.
Around 12:15 am, the driver lost control of the speeding Honda Mobilio near Lala Lajpat Rai College signal and rammed into the steel barrier on the footpath, causing the vehicle to turn turtle upon impact.
The accident left all four occupants injured, following which they were rushed to Nair Hospital for treatment. Details about their present condition are awaited.
Although no other pedestrian or motorist was injured due to the incident, a large section of the barrier was completely damaged after being hit by the vehicle.
According to a senior official, a case of rash driving has been registered against the driver.
