Both Western and Central railways will run additional suburban services on immersion day to clear the rush
Both Central and Western railway will be running additional suburban services to clear the excess rush of passengers in wake of the Ganpati festival, which culminates on Sunday, September 23.
The complete details of all additional services across Western, Central and Harbour lines is given below:
Central Line
Midnight Special Trains:
1. September 18 | Departure: CSMT (1:30 am) | Arrival: Kalyan (3 am)
2. September 19 | Departure: CSMT (1:30 am) | Arrival: Kalyan (3 am)
3. September 20 | Departure: CSMT (1:30 am) | Arrival: Kalyan (3 am)
4. September 21 | Departure: CSMT (1:30 am) | Arrival: Kalyan (3 am)
5. September 22 | Departure: CSMT (1:30 am) | Arrival: Kalyan (3 am)
The trains will stop at all stations.
Visarjan Special Trains:
On the intervening nights of September 23-24 (Sunday-Monday), CR will run the following four additional services on the main line.
1. September 24 | Departure: CSMT (1:30 am) | Arrival: Kalyan (3 am)
2. September 24 | Departure: CSMT (1:30 am) | Arrival: Thane (3:30 am)
3. September 24 | Departure: Kalyan (1 am) | Arrival: CSMT (2:30 am)
4. September 24 | Departure: Thane (2 am) | Arrival: CSMT (3 am)
The trains will stop at all stations.
Mega Block:
There will be no mega block on the main line on Sunday, September 23.
Harbour Line

There will be no mega block on the harbour or transharbour line on Sunday, September 23.

WR is yet to announce any mega block on Sunday, September 23 as of publishing this report.
Other Changes:
On account of the expectant rush at Charni Road station on immersion day, the following changes have been made:
* Churchgate-bound fast trains between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm will be given halts at Marine Lines, Charni Road, and Grant Road stations.
* Churchgate-bound slow trains between 5 pm and 10 pm will not halt at Charni Road station to reduce congestion on platform 2.
