Students can start applying for a seat under Round 4 from today

The office of the Deputy Director of Education (DyDE) released the vacancy list for colleges in Mumbai Metropolitan Region for round 4 of First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions for the year 2018-19 on its portal on Friday.

The vacancy list includes the number of general category seats available in colleges after the completion of round 3. Students seeking admission in the next round can refer to the vacancy and cut-off lists before selecting their new set of preferred colleges.

Further, per the revised schedule, applicants can start filling the form for Round 4 starting today.

Note: The number of seats in certain minority colleges have increased from the previous round after the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court allowed minority institutions to surrender their vacant in-house quota seats for the centralised admission process (CAP).

Checking vacancy list online

Students can check the number of vacant seats across Mumbai colleges by following the steps below:

# Visit the admission portal – mumbai.11thadmission.net

# In latest notifications, click on the ‘click here to download the vacancy for Centralised Round 4’ link

# The next page will display a Google Spreadsheet listing vacant seats across all colleges in Mumbai

# The list can also be directly accessed from here

Note: For convenience, students can save an offline copy and search for their respective colleges there.

Round 4

Like Round 3, applicants will have the option of selecting a new list of preferred colleges for Round 4.

To apply for a seat in the fourth round, applicants need to visit the admission portal, log in to their account by clicking the ‘Student Login’ link and edit the list of preferred colleges for Round 4.

Important Dates:

August 4 (6 pm):Deadline for filling admission form for Round 4 (students can edit option form)

August 7 (11 am): Declaration of third general merit list

August 9 (6 pm): Deadline for confirming admission under Round 4
