Major accident on SCLR, traffic diverted

A major accident, involving a truck and a private vehicle, took place on the Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR) on Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 9:30 am, when a Skoda Superb car rammed into a truck on the southbound lane towards Bandra. The accident spot is a few kilometers ahead of Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
According to an onlooker, “I arrived at the scene five minutes after the accident. From what I heard, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and landed on the opposite side of the lane. The Skoda driver, who had little time to react, ended up ramming the car into the truck.”
All traffic towards BKC/Bandra/Santacruz has been diverted to the road under the flyover as the lane is entirely blocked. Traffic police officials are on the spot and a towing van has been called to remove the truck and car from the flyover.
As of 10:15 am, no casualties have been reported. However, further details are still awaited.
