MTDC’s new Mumbai Darshan to include Antillia, Mannat and Galaxy Apartment
In an attempt to attract more tourists, the Maharashtra Tourism and Development Corporation (MTDC) is experimenting with a new route that includes the houses of the city’s rich and famous.
The state’s tourism department is set to launch a revamped Mumbai Darshan experience from May. For the new Mumbai Darshan, it has included spots like Mukesh Ambani’s Antilla, Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat and Salman’s Galaxy Apartment.
The changes won’t be limited to just the route. MTDC is also ditching the old buses for BEST’S new purple air conditioned buses.
A spokesman of the MTDC stated that these changes are in order to compete with private companies who already have these attractions on their itinerary. MTDC will also change the pricing to ensure it remains competitive, yet affordable.
The MTSC spokesman also said, “We want to start the South and North Mumbai tours in May for the summer vacation. The South tour will be from CST to Bandra and back to CST passing by Bandra-Worli Sealink, Mahalaxmi race course, Nehru Planetarium and Science Centre. The North tour will start from Prabhadevi and include Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Film City, the airports and end at Prabhadevi.”
With the summer vacations approaching, MTDC will enlist around 15 4-seater buses for the Mumbai Darshan tours.
