Phoenix Market City mall closed and evacuated for the day
Around 7 pm on Friday, the management of the Phoenix Market City mall in Kurla asked security guards to evacuate the premises and shut the mall.
By 8 pm, the mall shut its operations and the lights were out.
When contacted, the mall’s staff member confirmed that the mall was shut due to an ’emergency’, but refused to elaborate further.
The mall’s management has not issued an official statement till now. No report of any casualties or incidents have been reported.
Further details are awaited.
Update (9 pm): Attempts at reaching the mall’s management have been in vain. No information available with Kurla police station.
