Ramayana actor Mukesh Rawal found dead near railway track at Kandivali station
Actor Mukesh Rawal, who rose to fame for his portrayal of Vibhishan in ‘Ramayana’, was found dead near the railway tracks at Kandivali station.
The incident took place yesterday morning, but the family identified the body earlier today.
Mumbai police found the body at around 9 am on November 15 near the tracks leading to Borivali on the Western line, following which they filed an accidental death report at Borivali GRP.
The body was then sent for post mortem at a government hospital, where the family members recognized the body.
According to a family member, Rawal was on his way to Ghatkopar after withdrawing money from his bank account when the incident tool place.
Police investigation is currently underway and suicide has not been ruled out.
Rawal was best known for playing the role of Vibhishan in Ramanand Sagar’s epic drama, ‘Ramayana’. Apart from his television career, he also featured in multiple movies and Gujarati plays.
