A massive fire broke out in a country bar located in Chembur area of Mumbai on Thursday morning.
The incident took place around 11 am in Krisha Country Bar, which is situated between Vig Refreshments and Hotel Raj Palace on Choitram Gidwani Marg in Chembur. The area is more commonly referred to as Chembur Camp by locals.
Fire department was alerted immediately after the incident and the blaze was brought under control after an hour of firefighting.
According to preliminary information, the fire was caused due to a cylinder blast. However, the department is yet to confirm the same.
The entire bar was gutted due to the blaze. Fortunately, no human casualties were reported. The fire also damaged the outer boundary walls of adjacent hotels.
Being a busy lane, traffic to the road was blocked for a few minutes in the morning. However, the area has now been cleared.
