You won’t be able to pay and park your vehicles under flyovers from May
Hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against several illegal parking lots being operational under city flyover, the Bombay High Court has directed the state government and other statutory agencies to remove illegal parking from under city’s flyovers within three months.
Commenting on the the directive, State PWD (Excluding Public Enterprises) Minister Eknath Shinde yesterday said that the MSRDC (Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation) has already swung into action. He assured that all pay and parks below flyovers in Mumbai would be shut by May this year.
The PIL highlighted how the pay and park ‘schemes’ run under Mumbai’s flyovers were flouting the norm set by the concerned authorities.
