National Award-winning actor Akshay Kumar has secured the fourth spot in Forbes magazine’s Top 10 list of World’s Highest-Paid Actors Of 2019. He is the only Bollywood actor on the list.

According to Forbes, Akshay raked in $65 million (approximately Rs 467 crore) from June 2018 to June 2019.

The actor has been on a career-high since last year, with back to back films crossing Rs 100 crore mark. His most recent releases include, “Pad Man”, “Gold”, “2.0”, “Kesari” and “Mission Mangal” – all of which have been bonafide successes.

His latest, “Mission Mangal”, which has raked in Rs 121.23 crore, marks Akshay’s tenth hit in a row.

“Bollywood’s top-earning star, Kumar pulls in at least $5 million and up to $10 million per film. He also mints millions for endorsement deals with over 20 brand,” reads an excerpt from Forbes.

Hollywood star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson topped the Forbes list World’s Highest-Paid Actors 2019, collecting 89.4 million (almost Rs 640 crore) between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019.

He was followed by actors from the Marvel superhero franchise, Chris Hemsworth, who took the second spot with $76.4 million, and Robert Downey Jr., who came third with earnings of $66 million.

The subsequent ranks were occupied by Jackie Chan ($58 million), Bradley Cooper and Adam Sandler (tied with $57 million), Chris Evans ($43.5 million), Paul Rudd ($41 million) and Will Smith ($35 million).

Kumar, who made his acting debut with a small role in Mahesh Bhatt’ “Aaj” in the year 1987, also recently placed on the Forbes list of World’s 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities.

The list had earlier featured his contemporaries Salman Khan in 2018 and Shahrukh Khan in 2017.
