Face-swapped picture of Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder goes viral

A morphed image of filmmaker couple Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder with their faces swapped is now going viral on WhatsApp.
While there is no way of tracing the miscreant responsible for actually creating the image and sharing it on WhatsApp, the image is being widely circulated on the messaging platform as of Thursday. It caught our attention after comedian Sahil Shah, from East India Comedy, shared the picture on his micro-blogging account.
The original image of the couple was likely taken during their 2004 wedding. In the edited version, the miscreant has swapped their faces and ended up with a rather bizarre creation wherein the couple seems to have metamorphosised into each other.

Farah, an award winning Bollywood choreographer, ventured into filmmaking with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Main Hoon Na’ in 2004. Her other notable films include ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and ‘Happy New Year’.
Shirish, on the other hand, started his Bollywood journey as an editor with the movie ‘Champion’. After editing over a dozen films, he too ventured into directing with his debut film ‘Jaan-E-Mann’. His second directorial, ‘Joker’ starring Akshay Kumar, was a massive flop at the box office, post which he took a break from directing for a few years. The couple has three kids together.
Over the last week, Shirish has been embroiled in a copyright controversy surrounding his viral short film ‘Kriti’. After a Nepali filmmaker accused the filmmaker of plagiarising the plot of his short film, the war between the two ended with both their movies taken down by video-sharing platform YouTube.
