Ice cream shortage leads to cancellation of wedding in UP 3

Drama over dessert led to a bitter end when a wedding got cancelled due to the lack of ice cream in UP on Tuesday evening. The situation took a turn for the worse when stones were hurled, leaving the bride, groom as well as the police injured.

The episode took place at Mathura’s Mahesh Nagar colony on Raya-Sadabad road wherein the groom’s side got into a heated argument over the shortage of ice cream post the ‘Jaimaal ceremony’.

Later, in the wake of the altercation between the two sides, the groom’s side called the cops. This move enraged many from the bride’s side, who then went on to pelt stones at people from the groom’s side and the police.

The clash left several injured, including one constable and two sub-inspectors and caused a block on Raya-Sadabad road.

While police did arrest seven people from the bride’s side, both the parties have filed FIRs against each other.
