India-based KOOH Sports has launched ‘Sports Naukri’, a unique and comprehensive job portal that would help sports enthusiasts to secure their dream sports job. This portal is linked to flagship training Institute KITES – ‘KOOH Sports Institute of Training and Excellence for Sports Skills’ in India.

It aims to skill around 50,000 people in the next 8 to 10 years and has already trained around 400 sports coaches and physical education teachers.

The Sports Naukri portal (www.sportsnaukri.in) works like an employment exchange wherein people who get trained through the KITES institute have an opportunity to get access to the jobs on the portal. Moreover they will also get a premium service of their resumes getting highlighted to the right employers.

In addition to this, Sportsnaukri also caters to the larger community of sports coaches and physical education teachers who are looking for job placements across the country and it is open to various other job categories like Sports Marketing Professionals, Sports Facility Manager, Sports Managers, Sports Event Management, Sports Science and Technology Professionals, Sports Medicine and many more.

A lot of these people are now being sought by schools, clubs, communities, leagues, professional coaching centres, academies, event management companies, media companies and so on and so forth and Sportsnaukri aims to be a dedicated one stop shop for employees and employers in the sports sector.

Chirag Patel, CEO, KOOH Sports, said, “Sports Naukri is a very important cog in the wheel of sports transformation. We strongly believe that unless sports coaches and sports professionals are not empowered, respected and given true employment opportunities India will not reach its latent potential of being a fit and sporting nation.”

Former India physio John Gloster, Chief Quality Officer, KOOH Sports said, “On one hand we have the issue that we do not produce adequate number of skilled individuals to meet the demand of the sports sector and on the other hand not enough information is available to spot employment opportunities which is rising by the day.

Sports Naukri caters to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of certified professionals.
