Pratyusha Banarjee suicide: Abhishek wished it to be a April Fool news
Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who shot into fame for her role as ‘Anandi’ in celebrated drama series ‘Balika Vadhu’, committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her flat in Goregoan on Friday.
The 24-year-old actress was pronounced dead as soon as she was rushed to the Kokilaben Ambani hospital in Andheri. However there was no suicide note recovered from the flat. Her last Watsapp message read- “Marke Bhi Tujhse Muh Na Modna’. According to reports, Pratyusha was facing problems in her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh and this may have led to her taking this drastic step.

Pratyusha’s co-star from Balika Vadhu and now a Bollywood actor, Sidharth Shukla expressed shock at the news of her death. “I can’t believe someone like Pratyusha could take such a step,” he said.
BiggBoss co-contestant Kushal Tandon wrote, “The news is absolutely saddening. I know life is tough but why do you need to do this. She was so young, I don’t know what happened. Lots of strength to her family during this time.”
Pratyusha’s close friend and TV actress Kamya Paunjabi broke into tears while speaking to media.
Her other major appearances on the small screen were in “Bigg Boss 7”, a reality show, and “Jhalak Dikhla Jha”, a dance programme.
