Sachin and Pepsi join hands to help combat drought
After B-town stars like Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan extended their support to several drought-affected villages of Maharashtra, cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar has also decided to come forth and do his bit for his home state.
Sachin and PepsiCo are jointly putting together a plan to help Maharashtra government tackle the drought in Marathwada region, confirms Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
A meeting was held today between the CM and the cricket icon to discuss the possibilities and development.
Although Tendulkar didn’t share any specific details post his meeting, he will be making an announcement about his collaboration very soon.
According to recently released statistics, 70 percent of Maharashtra’s villages have been declared drought-hit and seven major dams are left with no water.
