Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma shoot cancelled after team member dies on sets
In a tragic incident, a team member of SAB TV’s popular comedy show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ succumbed to a heart attack while shooting.
The deceased, Arvind Marchande, was the head production controller of the show. According to reports, Marchande had complained of chest pain while shooting for the show. But, thinking it was a minor case of indigestion, he took a medicine and continued working.
Within a span of 10-15 minutes, the pain escalated and Marchande suffered a massive heart attack. Before anyone could realise there was something wrong with him, he collapsed on the set.
The crew members immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. But, he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
Saddened by the sudden death of their team member, the makers of the show decided to call off the shoot for the day. Later, the entire team went and paid their final regards to him and his family.
As of Friday, there’s no confirmation on whether the shooting for the show has resumed.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah first aired in July 2008 and is amongst the most popular family shows in the country. In the show, residents of a housing society help each other find solutions when they face everyday problems and get involved in tricky situations.
