FIR lodged against ‘Freedom 251’ manufacturer Ringing Bells

Freedom 251, claimed to be world’s cheapest smartphone, priced at Rs 251

BJP MP Kirit Somaiya along with few other members of parliamentary committee have lodged an FIR against Ringing Bells company at a police station in Noida.

Somaiya had registered a complaint against Amit Goyal and Ashok Chaddha of the company for cheating, forgery and misleading the common men, small investors and people of India by campaign of its product Freedom 251 smartphone. The company had gained massive publicity since they unveiled the plan to launch the world’s cheapest smartphone.

Noida police, today, confirmed that they have lodged the FIR and the investigation has begun.

Somaiya, in his complaint, also demanded freezing company’s account in which they have collected millions of rupees and also to collect the data of millions of buyers for refund.
