SpiceJet to shift all operations to Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport from Oct 1
To enhance passenger convenience, SpiceJet is set to transfer its entire operation to terminal 2 of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport from October 1, 2019.
Apart from helping passengers, the switch is also expected to help the airline cut down costs.
“A single terminal operation would not just help the airline substantially cut down its costs, but provide our passengers with a seamless and smooth travel experience as they transit between domestic and international flights at one of the country’s busiest airports,” the airline said in an official statement.
The transition is being planned and implemented by the airline with the active support of Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL).
The budget carrier expanded its domestic operations extensively from April this year, announcing 142 new flights. The additions include 78 flights connecting Mumbai, 30 connecting Delhi and a dozen flights between Mumbai and Delhi.
