‘MF Hussain’ adorns back road and bylanes of Andheri’s Lokhandwala
A beautification drive was organized at Lokhandwala back road in Andheri yesterday where around 50 students from Rotary Club of Bombay painted the entire stretch, thereby giving a much-needed makeover to the area.
The students were from various city colleges like JJ School of Art, Rachna Sansad, Symbiosis Institute of Design, Narsee Monjee, Mithibai, Marble Arch School, AVM Juhu, Jamnabai, and Rajiv Gandhi International.
The event started at 7 am yesterday and winded up around 4 pm. The entire stretch of Lokhandwala backroad, which earlier had shabby walls was first plastered by students and then was painted upon.
The students were backed by 32 artists who drew the outline of the paintings, the students then used their creativity to fill colours in them.
The paintings include French cave painting, depictions of Japanese Art, Greek and Egyptian art, MF Hussain, and the renaissance period as well.
