Always been unlucky when it comes to marriage, says Salman
Earlier this week, Salman stirred quite a controversy when he compared the pain from his physically draining shooting for ‘Sultan’ to that of a ‘raped’ woman.
The outrage became a national debate with activists, journalists, politicians and pretty much everyone lining up and demanding an apology from the actor. But, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor has refused to give in, at least for now.
During yesterday’s IIFA awards, the actor even said, “I know it has been a long evening, I will make it short, quick”. When a woman yelled out no, the actor added, “I have to. Knowing me the shorter I keep it the better it is.”
Meanwhile, the actor appeared on popular singing reality TV show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ to promote his upcoming film ‘Sultan’. And, as often is the case during his appearances, questions regarding marriage somehow manage to crop up.
However, unlike his previous responses, the actor took everyone by surprise when he confessed that contrary to popular belief, he is actually ‘dying’ to get married.
When contestant, Jugpreet Bajwa, asked for his advice for a life partner, the actor was quoted saying, “You have targeted the wrong person, Jugpreet. I have always been unlucky in this matter, but the public impression about me in this regard is all wrong.”
He further added, “I am actually dying to get married and had always been waiting for the other party to agree. Men have no say… It’s the women who decide it all.”
Mika Singh, who is a mentor on the show, also confessed, “I am Salman Bhai’s biggest fan and will follow his footsteps. Whenever Bhai will marry, I will also get married the same year.”
Salman is allegedly dating Romanian model Iulia Vantur and has already introduced her to his ‘inner circle’. While he maintains that he is going to get married soon, he hasn’t confirmed if his marriage plans include Iulia.
