After climbing the ladder of success in the first three days of its release, Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan has come crashing down at the Box Office.

The film performed decently over the weekend and raked in over Rs 52 crore in just 72 hours. Then came Monday. Fan lost momentum on the fourth day and brought in only Rs 6.50 crore, which is a sharp 70% drop in its collections from its opening.

According to trade experts, Fan will be able to manage a first week collection of around Rs 70 crore, but it might not make it to the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office.

Devoid of songs and romance, the film is different from the usual fare dished out by Bollywood. However, the Box Office collections show that cinemagoers in the country are not yet ready to embrace superstar SRK without his outstretched arms and his usual romantic lines.

While the movie has definitely been an under-performer, but well, experts say that the film of this genre in any case would not have had the reach that a typical SRK Bollywood masala films would have enjoyed.
